General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)
At MEO, we attach great importance to transparency and product safety. Within the framework of current EU regulations, we ensure that all our products meet the highest safety standards in order to offer our customers a responsible and worry-free shopping experience. To make the terms and abbreviations we use easier to understand, we have created an overview that explains all relevant definitions and meanings. This overview helps you to better understand the properties, certifications and international standards of our products.
General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)
The GPSR ensures that all products sold in the EU meet basic safety requirements. It serves to protect consumers and ensures that our products can be used safely.
Product Safety Act (ProdSG)
The German law implementing the GPSR is the Product Safety Act (ProdSG). This law ensures that products placed on the market in Germany are safe and free from risks for consumers.
WEEE Directive
The WEEE Directive promotes the environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment in order to avoid electronic waste. Our products that fall under this directive are labeled accordingly and contribute to sustainability through their recyclability.
Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)
The ElektroG implements the WEEE Directive and regulates the proper disposal and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. MEO assumes responsibility for the proper take-back and disposal of electronic products.
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
The RoHS Directive restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to protect the environment and human health.
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals)
The REACH regulation ensures that all chemicals used in the EU are tested for potential risks. Our materials are compliant and do not contain any harmful chemicals that could make skin contact dangerous.
UN 38.3
This regulation concerns the safe transportation of lithium batteries and accumulators. Products with built-in or external lithium batteries are tested in accordance with this standard to ensure that the batteries do not present a hazard during transportation.
UKCA (United Kingdom Conformity Assessed)
After Brexit, products sold in the UK must bear the UKCA mark. This mark confirms that the product complies with British safety standards and is safe to use.
CE marking
The CE mark indicates that these products comply with European safety, health and environmental requirements. It is mandatory for product categories that are regulated by specific directives in the EU, such as electrical appliances, toys, medical devices and personal protective equipment. The CE marking confirms that these products are safe for their intended use and meet all legal requirements.
EU Declaration of Conformity
The EU Declaration of Conformity is a confirmation from the manufacturer that the product complies with all EU directives. It ensures that our products comply with the applicable EU directives and can be used safely.
RED Directive (Radio Equipment Directive)
The RED Directive is required for products that use radio technologies such as Bluetooth or other wireless connections. It ensures that these products comply with safety standards and do not cause interference with other devices.
IP protection class (International Protection Marking)
The IP protection classes indicate how well a product is protected against the ingress of foreign bodies such as dust and water. The abbreviation "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection" and is supplemented by two numbers that indicate the degree of protection. The first number describes the protection against solid foreign bodies, e.g. dust or contact. It ranges from 0 (no protection) to 6 (completely dustproof). The second number indicates the protection against water and ranges from 0 (no protection) to 9 (protected against high-pressure water at a certain temperature). For example, protection class IP67 means that the product is fully protected against dust (6) and is also resistant to temporary immersion in water (7). Products with an IPX7 rating would be specifically protected against water, but without any indication of protection against solid foreign bodies. For our customers, the IP protection class therefore indicates whether and how a product is suitable for certain conditions, such as use in wet environments or intensive contact with dust.
At MEO, we are committed to ensuring that our manufacturers and suppliers comply with all these regulations in order to offer our customers safety, quality and responsible product selection.

Product description | Upper body harness
Product note | An upper body harness made of leather, neoprene or imitation leather is considered an erotic and decorative accessory. However, it should be used with caution to avoid skin irritation or pressure points. It is important not to put the harness on too tightly so as not to impede blood circulation or restrict breathing. The material should be checked regularly for wear, tears or damage, especially to seams and fasteners. Upper body harnesses made of leather or artificial leather must be maintained regularly to keep the material supple and prevent tears or breaks. A neoprene upper body harness is easier to care for, but should not be exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat for long periods of time, as it will lose its elasticity. Neoprene can cause skin irritation in some people, so compatibility should be tested individually. Metal parts such as buckles or rivets may contain nickel, which should be taken into account in the event of allergies. After each use, an upper body harness should be cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure hygienic standards and prolong the life of the material.

Materials and/or ingredients | Leather, Metal
Warnings Materials and/or ingredients | Leather Products made of genuine leather are high-quality items that impress with their durability and naturalness. Leather is a natural material that can be treated differently during production. It is therefore important to follow the manufacturer's specific care and usage instructions in order to maintain the quality of the product in the long term. Products made of genuine leather should be protected from excessive moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, as these factors can damage the material or change its properties. A damp, soft cloth is generally suitable for cleaning, and a special leather cleaner can be used for heavier soiling. Care products should be tested for compatibility on an inconspicuous area before use. Leather products are not suitable for cleaning in the washing machine or with aggressive chemicals. If the leather product comes into contact with water, it should be dried gently, preferably in the air and without direct exposure to heat. Regular care with suitable leather care products can help to maintain the suppleness and appearance of the material. Leather products should always be kept out of the reach of children. In the case of sensitive skin or known allergies to leather tanning agents, it is advisable to test the product on a small area of skin before use. At the end of its life, the product should be disposed of in accordance with the local disposal guidelines for natural materials. Metal Metal parts of the product may contain nickel: When using the product, please note that the product or its components may contain nickel. Nickel can cause allergic reactions in some people. The product should not be used if you are known to be allergic to nickel.
Cleaning and hygiene | Thoroughly clean all products used before and after each use to ensure hygiene. Use suitable cleaning agents as indicated on the outer packaging or in our product description. The manufacturer's care instructions must be observed. Leather is a natural product that lasts a long time and retains its original beauty with the right care. Regular care is essential to keep the material supple and protect it from drying out, cracking and discoloration. It is recommended to thoroughly clean and care for leather products every few months, especially if they are used frequently. Before applying a care product, the leather should be cleaned to remove dirt and grease. A damp cloth or a special leather cleaning agent is suitable for this purpose. Aggressive chemicals or soaps that dry out the leather should be avoided and cleaning should be done carefully so as not to damage the surface. After cleaning, a special leather balm or leather oil can be applied to moisturize the material and keep it supple. The care product should be applied sparingly and evenly, preferably with a soft cloth. After a short exposure time, polish the leather with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess product. Care should be taken not to over-grease the leather so as not to impair its breathability. Leather products should be protected from extreme heat, direct sunlight and moisture, as these factors can dry out and damage the material. Storage in a cool, dry place is recommended, while storage in plastic bags should be avoided to prevent mold growth. Dyed leather requires special care to prevent color loss. Care products that are suitable for dyed leather should be used to protect the color pigments and maintain the luminosity. It is advisable to test the care product on an inconspicuous area before use to ensure that it does not cause any discoloration. Depending on the type of leather and its intended use, it may be advisable to choose special care products. Leather balm or leather cream are recommended for smooth leather, and special sprays for suede that protect the leather without smoothing the surface.

Packaging | To reduce packaging waste and make our products as environmentally friendly as possible, we use reusable and recyclable materials. The products are packaged in bags made of LDPE film (low-density polyethylene) or OPP film (oriented polypropylene), which are known for their high recyclability. In addition, some packaging contains silica gel bags, which are used to absorb moisture and protect the quality of the items. These bags are necessary to optimally protect the product during storage and transportation. Reusable velvet bags are sometimes supplied for later storage of the products, which not only offer a practical storage option, but also help to reduce single-use packaging.
Disposal instructions | Our packaging materials are recyclable and can be disposed of via the local recycling and disposal systems. It is recommended to follow the local guidelines for the disposal of plastic films to ensure the best possible recycling. Silica gel bags should be disposed of with household waste as they are not recyclable. These bags are not suitable for consumption and must be kept out of the reach of children and pets as silica gel can be harmful to health. As a responsible company, MEO is registered with the relevant packaging registers such as the Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR) in Germany and participates in dual systems such as Zentek. This ensures that all legal requirements for the licensing and recycling of packaging in the respective countries are met. The packaging materials are labeled accordingly to enable simple and environmentally friendly disposal. These measures minimize the ecological footprint and help to conserve valuable resources.
Date of manufacture and import | The production and import date is indicated on the product packaging or on our label. This information creates transparency and safety by clearly identifying the date of manufacture or import of the product.
Guarantees and return conditions | The provisions of our current General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply, in particular § 9 Warranty and § 10 Limitation of Liability. Detailed information on this can be found in the full GTC.
