General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)

Product Safety Act (ProdSG)

UN 38.3

IP protection class (International Protection Marking)

The IP protection classes indicate how well a product is protected against the ingress of foreign bodies such as dust and water. The abbreviation "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection" and is supplemented by two numbers that indicate the degree of protection. The first number describes the protection against solid foreign bodies, e.g. dust or contact. It ranges from 0 (no protection) to 6 (completely dustproof). The second number indicates the protection against water and ranges from 0 (no protection) to 9 (protected against high-pressure water at a certain temperature). For example, protection class IP67 means that the product is fully protected against dust (6) and is also resistant to temporary immersion in water (7). Products with an IPX7 rating would be specifically protected against water, but without any indication of protection against solid foreign bodies. For our customers, the IP protection class therefore indicates whether and how a product is suitable for certain conditions, such as use in wet environments or intensive contact with dust.

Cleaning and hygiene	Thoroughly clean all products used before and after each use to ensure hygiene. Use suitable cleaning agents as indicated on the outer packaging or in our product description. The manufacturer's care instructions must be observed. It is strongly recommended not to store sex toys made of different materials without protective outer packaging or separately from each other. Different materials such as silicone, rubber, TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), vinyl or latex can react with each other on direct contact. These chemical reactions can lead to discoloration, deformation of the surface or, in the worst case, decomposition of the material. Silicone products should also not be stored unprotected, as they tend to stick to each other or to other materials or change their surface structure. This can cause the material to become brittle or lose its elasticity. These bags should ideally be made of breathable material such as cotton or microfiber to ensure adequate ventilation.
