What is so special about the sling cushion?

Our sling cushion is made of vegetable-tanned Nappa leather, measures 23 x 32 cm = 9 x 13 inches and is comfortable padded. The sling cushion has two round stainless steel eyelets that can be used to secure it to the sling chains using carabiner hooks. The delivery includes two metal chains measuring 20 cm= 8 inches in length and carabiner hooks to secure the cushion so it doesn’t slip. Without chains, you can of course also use the high-quality leather cushion as a sofa cushion, too.

How do I take care of the leather sling cushion?

With use, the leather cushion becomes softer (in contrast to cheap leather or imitation leather, which becomes harder and brittle over the course of time). Some leather grease has to be applied to our leather cushion from time to time and, if necessary, it can be oiled again. This should be done sparingly however, so as to prevent a film of grease building up.

WEEE Directive

The WEEE Directive promotes the environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment in order to avoid electronic waste. Our products that fall under this directive are labeled accordingly and contribute to sustainability through their recyclability.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

The ElektroG implements the WEEE Directive and regulates the proper disposal and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. MEO assumes responsibility for the proper take-back and disposal of electronic products.

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

The RoHS Directive restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to protect the environment and human health.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals)

The REACH regulation ensures that all chemicals used in the EU are tested for potential risks. Our materials are compliant and do not contain any harmful chemicals that could make skin contact dangerous.

UN 38.3

This regulation concerns the safe transportation of lithium batteries and accumulators. Products with built-in or external lithium batteries are tested in accordance with this standard to ensure that the batteries do not present a hazard during transportation.

UKCA (United Kingdom Conformity Assessed)

After Brexit, products sold in the UK must bear the UKCA mark. This mark confirms that the product complies with British safety standards and is safe to use.

CE marking

IP protection class (International Protection Marking)

The IP protection classes indicate how well a product is protected against the ingress of foreign bodies such as dust and water. The abbreviation "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection" and is supplemented by two numbers that indicate the degree of protection. The first number describes the protection against solid foreign bodies, e.g. dust or contact. It ranges from 0 (no protection) to 6 (completely dustproof). The second number indicates the protection against water and ranges from 0 (no protection) to 9 (protected against high-pressure water at a certain temperature). For example, protection class IP67 means that the product is fully protected against dust (6) and is also resistant to temporary immersion in water (7). Products with an IPX7 rating would be specifically protected against water, but without any indication of protection against solid foreign bodies. For our customers, the IP protection class therefore indicates whether and how a product is suitable for certain conditions, such as use in wet environments or intensive contact with dust.

Da das Kissen ja nicht grad günstig ist, habe ich natürlich genau nachgeschaut. Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Die Kissen sind ganz hochwertig und gut verarbeitet. Die Oberfläche fühlt sich weich an. Ein weiteres plus ist die Formstabilität. Die Kissen knautschen nicht und sehen daher immer ordentlich aus. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung und es gibt nichts zu bemängeln
