I can't say for sure, because I have never tried the magnetic nipple clamps that are kind of similar to this, But if they're rare earth magnets (neodymium), I still don't see them getting enough bite. I bought these because I knew they would bite. They had screws, that are an ancient design, used much in BDSM. From everything I can tell, the metal looks like quality work. I'm not even going to wait to receive them to review them. Some things I look at, and I have this flash in my head, like "YES! That's the way it should be done." I felt that so strongly while contemplating this product. I am sure I will be ecstatically happily in pain when I use these. I know already. Davinci would come to the same conclusion.
